Current Picks: Summer Edition

Updated: Sep 29, 2021

This week I've chosen eleven items that I think are going to really boost your summer style. These items can all be worn with each other and contain fresh pops of colour.

Knitted halter dresses are very popular lately. They are the upcoming summer piece; lightweight, and colourful silhouettes that can be layered under oversized button tops or over a tie-dye tee.

Venroy has created the ultimate summer skirt made from linen and created in a range of beautiful colours. This piece is taking over Sydney, with Venroy stores selling out in various colours over the summer, when girls are adding this to their Christmas list. I have the navy blue colour at home, but I've definitely had my eye on the pink!

These button-front shirts are the ultimate layering piece to any outfit (summer OR winter); they're colourful, lightweight and perfect for the beach. I've just purchased Beginning Boutique's Moreton Striped Top, and I can't wait to pair it with my brand new mini dress.

Terry towelling is the new summer material (besides linen of course); it's super comfortable, beach-friendly and now considered swim luxury wear. I've found the nicest sets from Araminta James available in 6 cool colours, having a matching set makes choosing outfits a lot easier anyway! Also, in case you want a super cool terry-towelling bucket hat you can find one by Rhythm here!

The best basic to wear in summer is light coloured denim; it goes with everything and is a beach day staple. The best thing about denim shorts or jeans is that you can dress them up or down according to the occasion.

No summertime outfit is complete without a floral dress or bright coloured top (enough said).

Last but not least, on those cool summer nights, to wear with your denim shorts the perfect hoodie is essential! Brand new Australian owned brand - Vesper Le Label provides the perfect hoodie along with some other very cool basics

I hope you enjoyed this week's article on my favourite items for summer xx
